Map of Jeta's Grove

This is the first rough map of the Jeta's Grove property of 30 acres sitting in Ironton County, Missouri outside of Arcadia, MO. It shows you the plan so far for the development of the Dhamma Center and the Furniture making area and other crafts for an industry support of the project. The concentration on the development of industry to support the project is so that if you want to live here, studying the meditation and the suttas and Pali etc. for an extended period of time,  and live in a hut in the woods and such, there can be a way for you to make a little money for contributing to the project and to help support yourself while you are here.  Also, our idea is that as the co-housing project develops, there will be a support opportunity for those who want to remain on the property becoming self-sustaining as much as possible.

On the MAP:

The map is oriented with the East sitting at the top Left corner. So North is at the lower Left corner. The large building sites have lots of sun exposure for possible solar usage at least for hot water and maybe more!  The Vegetable garden will have a long day of sun in the position it is located.

• The base camp in located in the lower right hand corner of the drawing.
• The building site for the Furniture Industry effort is opened up and the area for the Dhamma Center to be built gradually.  They appear on the left 1/3 of the page.
• The Foot paths and the trails throughout are indicated by single dash marks and are usable now.
• The Campsite areas up the logging road up the middle from the creek, are opened up and only need some firewood cutting to be done to clear them totally. 
• Campsite One, on the left as you go up the logging road, can accommodate vans, tents and tipis or any combination.
• Campsite Two on the right side of the logging road above the other one is  '5 campsite loop' and it can take 5-6 tent sites with a little loving care setting up.
• The logging roads throughout the property were well cared for and are now all passable throughout the property with the exception of the one we haven't found yet near the possible co-housing site on the right side of the drawing.
• This possible site for co-housing area is about 5-7 acres large, is nearly flat and dry and just plain wonderful for many reasons.
•  The loop road is now rocked into the main building site area  from the left side of the page and continuing on a loop around to the low-water bridge going back across the creek to the Base camp.

We may have an open opportunity to add on 10-20 more acres that would sit North-East above this drawing to have another large plateau for pastureland and growing of food. That piece of land would include a ridge top with a great view to the South-West direction.
